The IT Factor...
Guys, here's the best description of the IT factor that is so lacking in the American Society. A Quote from one of the players immediately after the complete defeat of the US team in the Ryder Cup."This isn't soccer or cricket. We're actually supposed to win this event on a semi-regular basis. But the Europeans have IT, of course, whatever it is. They share a symbolic bond that's so hard to define and so easy to see."
That right there is the true definition of the IT Factor as plainly & simple put as possible. This is what the rest of the world has always known & seen over the years, coupled with the US arrogance and bullish character which does not help the cause much.
US students are always dead last in the SAT's and other school/college tests compared to the students from the rest of the world. The top brains in the corporate world, labs & hospitals are foreigners. Do not get me wrong folks, Americans are wonderful people but they lack of a strong culture to identify with and strong values that helps to build their character is consipicuously lacking from the US society. Most of the Top Americans are Jews who too have a strong bond and culture that has carried them through to their successes. Over the years the moral fabric that helps build these values has been drastically eroded and now anything goes, how else can you explain something like the hip hop culture which is currently a widely recognised and accepted way of life. A morally loose thug life..just how??
The recent failure in the US basketball, both men & women, World Cup soccer, Hockey, Davis Cup Tennis, World Baseball and now the Ryder cup should be a huge red flag that things are not all well & dandy back in the ranch and that the rest of the world (Aliens) live on strong and are doing just fine on their own. Did I mention the Tour De France, I too would win it if I juiced up right.....
The days of Super powers, dynasties and colonization are over and in years to come everyone will be allowed to travel anywhere in the world unrestricted.. So all these forced invasions is going to have to stop...
Wake up guys and smell the roses or else it will be too late and your good people & abundantly wealthy country will be nothing but a shell of shame...

i think the demise of the US has been pontificated on many times - the current situation in america is similar to the late 80's early nineties when the japanese seemed to be dominant.
The thing about america is that it adjusts to siutation the strength of the american system lays in the flexibility of the economy and the economic system. if i was a betting man i would go long on america. i would short russia, iran ,venezuela
i would cautiously go long on china and india
Anon - you have succeeded in finally losing me...what???
Lol, I just caught a visual of an african cycling team on Black Mambas doing big thangs in France.
On a steady supply of sembe, fres fiss and some IT to wash it all down.
Parity as we see it growing today is a healthy thing. If the US were rubbing out every team they met on the b-ball court, it wouldn't be as fun to watch the world championships.
Anon was merely stating that US seem to stay on top of the world despite all arguments to the contrary.
Also that it would be foolish to brush them off as fading giants.
Their president is not anything to write home about either.
