Mid Life Crisis & Country Music

Guys I need some help to kind of decipher whats going on. I generally love all types of music with a huge lean on R&B and somtimes even crunk up to the dirty south rap. Lately though Country music sounds so good.

The type of music I grew up listening my dad singing to on those long drives. I suddenly like the CMA's - Country Music Awards shows, at times I find myself switching to the country stations in the car & at home and have now downloaded some of the latest top country songs. These jams rock...

Brooks & Dunn, Reba McIntire, Gretchen Wilson, Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, Sugarland, Keith Urban, Trace Adkins, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw etc etc and the list is endless....

Someone please break it down for me....... its a phase right??? or I have turned the corner.....

Listen to Don't forget to Remember Me by Carrie Underwood, truly a gem......

The ROAR of the TIGER!!

Tiger silenced them again and set himself apart from the field. He is not only a great golfer but the best athlete ever. For those who watched the British Open, you saw a focused and determined Tiger. When the others guys pushed to get close to him, he dug deeper and pulled away.

And yes he is real afterall, he cried like a baby after his last stroke at 18 realising his dad would never see him win again and that just went to signify what a great person he really is.

Hands down, he is my idol.

Congratulations, TIGER.

Go Condy RICE...

I don't care which way you look at it or how you slice or dice it.

In my books this lady has made the boldest political in-roads and has been the most impressive & influential in the past year.

She is now right in the middle of laying out a strategy for the Middle East. Seen here with the US Ambassador to the UN, Mr John Bolton.

For a black lady in her position, you go girl...

Have you all a nice weekend now....

World War III????

This crazy situation in the Middle East has all the makings of a World War? At least by all standards and if History is anything to go by and if not handled well could degenerate real fast and take a serious tumble downhill.

Mr Bush says "how about Syria telling the Hezbollah to stop that shit and its all over!!!"

It's not that simple Mr President. The world out there is a little complex than you think and that's the reason you find yourself in a wrut or on quick sand in Iraq & Afghanistan with no clear exit strategy. Simply a lose-lose situation.

Whatever happened to the sound of reason, respect & love for human life. This is when we all reach out to the one above and ask for his divine intervention.

Can't we all just get along.... strange yet the World Cup is supposed to signify & represent friendly battle amongst Nations but looks like this memo didn't quite get through..

Back to Life - Back to reality

With the World Cup now gone, life's back to normal and we now pick up where we left rooting for our home team.

This is our Ajua home team here in the Uzbec.. played really well this past weekend.

The only other highlight is unexpectedly meeting my ex on friday and this brought back fond memories. Looks like the spark still's there and will try find out, besides whatha..... There was so much tension you could actually lean on it, if you wanted. Somehow we managed to diffise it and got on with storo's. At the end of the night we hugged bye like nothing ever happened and the electricity was enough to light up a whole stadium.

Will keep you posted...

(do any of you ol school folks remember that Soul II Soul song? Back to life, back to Reality...)

Withdrawal Symptoms

Post WC Era. Now what's next after the world cup. The world suddenly seems so empty and back to the regular ol stuff. That world cup is like Heroin, gives you a high and it's tough to survive without it.

Just trying to build a case for a multi million dollar suit here.

Symptoms - fatigue, not interested in hunky punky, easily irratable, don't feel like working & all this this leading to severe road rage, marital problems and low work productivity.

& the worst one being absolutely - blog lock...

DO I have a Case guys???

The ITALIAN JOB....time to finish

Am sure it's not just me but that month literally zoomed by so fast...

And just how ironic can it get, with the theme this year being - "Say no to Racism" and then an almost all black French team and an all white Italian team make it to the finals.

Now here's my pick to win it all. PUTTING THE RACE CARD ASIDE, I pick ITALY as the winners on Sunday.

I think they have shown to the surprise of many that this team plays a very entertaining & fluid brand of soccer. They are young and fast and seem to know each other pretty well. France on the other hand have a great mid field under Zizzou and the most lethal striker in the world in Henry. This will simply not be enough though.. unless the Italians make a huge mistake at the back.

Away with that black & white verbiage, keeping it real and sticking to just football..

ITALY wins.... 2 : 1
