Philing Proud - Masters Champion '06

Tiger goes down fighting in his attempt for number 5.

Spent a good part of the weekend watching the Masters, & by now you all know just how much Iof a Tiger fan I am. Well this weekend we saw what could have been and his chase for his 5th Green Jacket disappear.

His putter totally failed him missing 2 easy eagles & a bunch of makable birdies all within 10 ft. Well, this goes on to confirm the theory of putting & feel. Tiger with heavy thought's on his ailing Dad could not find the necessary feel & touch on the greens. Could he have just gotten one of this in, it could have been all over. Well we shall wait for another year.

And Phil had the magic all through his game to sink his putts and have an almost error free final round. But in losing, gracious we must be and give props to the champion & now a real rival to Tiger's Golf era. With his 2nd Masters win, Phil moves to 2nd in the world rankings behind Tiger. Phil just won last week at the BellSouth Championship a tournament Tiger did not play so he went to Augusta on top of his game and guys he is for real, so take this new rivalry very seriously.

This will only make for an exciting year in golf amongst the top 5 as they duke it out, the British Open is not too far nor is the US open so keep an eye on how Tiger gets back. Go TIGER!!!
