Tony Toni Tone!!!!

Tony Braxton and El Divo (or something like that) at the World Cup opening ceremony .

You knew it when you put that dress on.... missy!!!

Why go out and embarass yourself and the good game of football. An estimated 80 million folks plus kids were watching this event.

This was not a wardrobe malfunction but a senses malfunction. The rest of the world out there is Toned down, Civil and Consientous. This was another world cup goof out of sheer ignorance. Not good girl..... not good...

Clearly confirms why 'Little knowledge could be dangerous'.

GHANA makes us proud!!!!

Guys, you tell me, what we have to do to get some R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

Ghana just beat the US and this is what CNN can put up as a headline just minutes after the game?

Black Star deathblow
Ghana eliminates U.S. with 2-1 win; Africans advance
Posted: Thursday June 22, 2006 12:19PM; Updated: Thursday June 22, 2006 3:01PM, From the CNN, Sports Website Sports Illustrated

The Africans advance???? These Africans are from a sovereign Country called Ghana. Duh..

This is the same tone used when the Americans call everyone else non-american, Aliens. The correct term if anything is simply foreigners, period.

Am listening to ESPN Radio as I write this and some of the reasons the commentators are giving for the loss and the reason why Soccer isn't big in the US is because they (American's) are not poor. He says that poor Nations simply grow making up toys like kick balls and that's the reason why they are good at the game. Some other caller thought it was Guyana, please.....

AM seething right now, the next thing the bagger says is that Ghana is the barely the size of Chicago, Illinois and that they cannot fathom how this small Nation beat them and yet they are ranked 5th in Fifa world rankings. F%^$#* the rankings, the truth is on game day on the field.

Outside of being the land of opportunity, there's is plenty of ignorance & vanity and cultural insensitivity all around that hurts an otherwise great Nation. This is probably the same myopic & tough guy approach that drove the US blindly to Iraq and are now paying dearly for it with young soldiers lives and at the same time killing thousands of innocent civilians. If you count the injured and permanently maimed the tale of the tape speaks for itself. Everyone, men, women & children and everything that moves from cows, dogs, donkey carts & vehicles are potential bombs. Even a 6th grader will tell you that's a battle you cannot win.

Thank you GHANA ..... you made us all real PROUD. This was not just a historic win but a great lesson in the crazy world we live in Today.

Heat Wave Strikes

Another big one that I called. Down 2:0 everyone ruled them out but the Miami Heat have done what only 2 other teams have done in history, come back and win 4 straight.

Needless to say that am real excited for Gary Payton, Alonzo Mourning & Antoine Walker for finally winning a championship after so many years in the league and especially for Alonzo after a life threatening sickness 6 yrs ago. Playing with a kidney donated by his cousin, Alonzo was the spark and the Red Bull for the team. He was simply great and his energy rubbed on the entire team through out the final and especially last night. He was the X factor.

Finally who can talk about this win without mentioning D-Wade, the next Michael Jordan who beat all types of defenses and was rydikulasly smokin' earning him the final MVP a real deserving and honestly nice guy. What about the Shaq daddy, he promised the city of MIA a win and he did it in just 2 yrs. Thats what we call delivering results, it doesn't matter how it comes but he did and even guaranteed another one (this one could have been said in the heat of joy) but he did.

A great team and a great finish to a great series. As for the Dallas Mavericks, they were a tough team to beat and a team to watch in the near future and they play fluid exciting basketball.

Now Back to the WORLD CUP. Go GHANNNNNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

Luke 19: 1-10
--'Luke Kumi na tisa, moja hadi ashuu.'

Then Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.
--Basi Yesu akapenya Jeri na alikuwa akipitia tuu.

Now behold, there was a man called Zaccheus who was the Chief Tax collector and was rich.
--Basi kilikuwa na msee mmoja ana itwa Zaka . Huyu Zaka alikuwa dongra wa kuchukua munde, na alikuwa sonko vibaya

And he sought to see who Jesus was, but he couldn't because of the crowd, for he was a short man.
--Zaka alijisikia kusorora huyu Yesu ,lakini wapi ju ya ile kerende:alikuwa ka-pici!

So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him for he was going that direction.
--Zaka akajishanora akadandia miti ndio asorore vipoa juu alikuwa akikwome hiyo side.

And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him
--Basi Yesu aligalavant akafika hiyo baze,akachi-ek mabatini akamyebi na kumshow niaje ?

"Zacchaeus, make a haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house"
--"Zaka dondoka faster faster juu leo lazima ni maintain kwa keja yako".

Fever du Cup le Monde

I had to get it, one way or the other. I thought I would dodge the World Cup bullet but no way. The tide is too strong and besides its our heritage, we are born playing soccer.

Yeah, ya'll didn't know I had a bit of that French thing going.

So for the next weeks, its all GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL

Rooting for all the African teams, 100% habsolutely.....

Be safe playa's.

Feeling the HEAT...

Temperatures definitely rising...

Not in my HOUSE, MAVS!!

I want this one bad especially for Gary Peyton, Alonzo Mourning & Antoine Walker. The Heat are poised to win their first NBA Championship, first tip off, Thursday. I know am supposed to be going all gooey about the World Cup but I haven't quite felt it yet. I will be posting a little something on that later on.

As for now, its Shaq & Wade's time but they have to deal with a 7 ft. Dirk along the way. In the meantime my Uzbec team arrived in Germany in high spirits all ready to go, wish them luck.

I'm behind you boys... (but my first allegiance is to all the African teams)
